Weekly Summary

Time Sheet

11/07/2022 [8:00am-5:00pm]

– Had morning meeting where we went over the projects for the week. Then spent most of the time working on the Nexton Tract D Renders. This was mostly some tweaks to the larger development that we weren’t necessarily going to present at the client meeting.

11/08/2022 [7:45am-12:00pm]

– Spent all day working on the storefront elevations for 651 King. This was pretty much all CD level items and was mainly to get ready for permit submittal with the city.

11/09/2022 [7:30am-12:00pm]

– Spent the morning out at the jobsite for Bright Oak Preschool with Will the project manager and meeting with the GC, Electrician Sub, and owners to go over some of the access control measures for the building. Additionally, we inspected the jobsite and wrote a few field report notes for the GC. Long discussion regarding WRB and the detailing of buildings in the Charleston climate. Started work on Parcel 5 renderings for another Nexton development.

11/10/2022 [7:15pm-9:00pm ; 1:00pm-4:00pm]

– Worked on the Parcel 5 Nexton renderings all day to prep them to send over to the owner over the weekend for review.

This week I learned a lot more about jobsite visits and I got a lot from my discussion with Will regarding detailing here in a humid climate. I think some of these jobsite visits help me learn more than anything else in the internship program.
