This week I continued working on a new deck and pool addition to a Kiawah home. It was a hard project to get started because the survey was wrong and did not reflect our field measurements. We had to do some guess work on certain areas of the survey and then eventually verify we are correct with another surveying company. I learned this week that when other consultants do not do there job well, we can’t do our job. It made me realize how as architects we need to design to the best of our ability because if we do our job well, the engineers, builders, and other construction members can do their jobs well.
