WEEKLY REFLECTION
While laying out and creating the demo set for our DRB submittal next week, I learned that it’s important to use our better judgement as designers to ensure that the message being conveyed by our drawings comes across clearly and almost immidiatley to the anticipated recipient. This often times means taking a step back and assessing for ourselves whether we are able to identify the main subject of the page or drawing and making the needed adjustments, such as adjusting lineweights, using hatches or shape outlines to highlight certain apsects, and etc., to make sure the point comes across clearly. By taking this extra step and double chekcing our work to make sure our drawings are “dummy proof,” we save our selves the headache and time of having to clarify matters over the phone or by email, or having to go back and edit drawings later on in some cases.
