Wednesday – 10.12.22

Half of my day was spent working on the graphics for my presentation as well as starting to make a formal presentation for the information.

The other half was spent with Jacob discussing building heights and building volumes for one of the ongoing projects. Felt pretty good to be drawing on such a large touch screen.

Thursday – 10.15.22

The morning was spent finishing the infographics and working on putting together my presentation for the in house team.

There was also our second pubic engagement event, but it was our first full public event (the last one was downsized due to the hurricane). It seemed like a much bigger success this time with a lot more people asking questions and being curious about the project.

Lesson Learned

There are a lot of moving parts that go on to get the actual funding for large scale redevelopment projects. Jacob and I had a great discussion of TIFs and how local politics work. To move all the pieces and talk to all parties so that everyone is content with the entitlement and we (developers) can then go forward and price the area so that it wont go into development hell and the project keep failing.
