Client meetings are very unique to the design process for residential projects. This week a husband and wife visited the office, and our job was to gather information about how we can make adjustments to the programming of the existing design. For about an hour and a half, I listed 4 or 5 pages of the clients’ need room by room, then organized the list by programming. It’s exciting to comb through house plans and think about new design decision. Architects are necessary middle-men between the client and contractors. It’s our job to appropriately communicate the clients’ needs to every part of the building process through our drawings, details, and visual rendering performance.
