WEEKLY REFLECTION

Project: Leon’s Patio Structure

Project Phase: Construction Documentation & Permitting

Project Manager: Luke Jarrett

Student’s Role: Assembling final drawing set for FRBS submittal and permitting simultaneously

Moving forward with this project as we wrap up the set to submit for final review by staff, it appears we may have hit a minor road block after coming to a dead in our rolled fascia manufacturer research. With no local or nearby manufacturers producing such a fascia, our only two options are to find a custom manufacturer to create the fascia, which would not fall within the project budget, or to go back to the drawing board and do a quick redesign which seems to be the more likely option that we will be going with. This is a natural part of the design process and it’s imperative to not let such minor inconveniences slow down the progression of the project.
