Monday morning Staff meeting to go over projects and to check the status update and prioritize what projects need more attention.

 

  • Job Title:
    • James Island PSD Fire Station 2

 

  • Reviewed comments from Steve about the adjustments that needed to be made to send off the floor plans for review to Dave Shaffer. Did sketching to see if things can be adjusted withing the footprint or if they need to be extended a bit more to make more space but keeping it under 2,000 sq ft.

September 13,2022:              8:00AM – 12:00PM

  • Job Title:
    • City of Charleston Parking Garage Renovations
  • Continued Marion Square by adding the main ramp from the entrance. This garage has a double height space and a retaining wall that curves along the ramp.

September 14,2022:              8:00AM – 12:00PM

  • Job Title:
    • City of Charleston Parking Garage Renovations
  • Continue working on Marion Square. Added bollards and curbs in the front and adjusted the floors to make them ramp up next to the main driveway ramp.

September 15,2022:              8:00AM – 12:00PM

  • Job Title:
    • City of Charleston Parking Garage Renovations
  • Continue working on Marion Square. Added elevator shaft and bulkhead for the shaft for the door openings. Located the elevator component to place inside the model. Ryan asked Olivia and I to both to make an exterior façade for Friday to see what ideas they would incorporate in the model.

September 16,2022:              8:00AM – 12:00PM

  • Job Title:
    • James Island PSD Fire Station 2
  • Design pin up, Olivia and I created 2 different exterior designs to give ideas about what the fire station might look like. We had pizza and soda.

Skills Learned:

I learned the different types of roofs and how to create roofs in Revit. I became faster at sketching under a time crunch and got a chance to see what it was like to have your boss make comments on a design that I created for him.
