This week I worked on the construction documents for a client building a third story. It has been a long process because many changes have been made in the design development phase. We are starting to wrap things up to hopefully send off and get a permit so we can start construction. I have learned that this process takes time and more time should be made during the schematic phase so the development design moves along smoother. The client has made some design changes that we had to deal with that impacted the structure, and I learned that there are many parties involved in the process that need to work together to achieve those changes and goals for the client.
