RJ Gross | SGA Narmour Wright Design | 01/25-01/28

Hours: 16    AXP: 12.75 Hours

Monday-Thursday:

This week at SGA| NW Design I worked on a Charleston County School District Warehouse. I converted a storage space to 16 offices on two floors. To do this task I hand sketched on the plan and then implemented it into Revit. I worked on another project, Gibbs Shoals Apartments in Greer, SC. For this I annotated all the floor plans, including basic dimensions, window callouts, and door call outs. This week I also sat in on a meeting about LIV Windsor Hill Apartments located in North Charleston, SC. My mentor and another colleague spoke with the Contractor and Civil Engineers about water run off pond location and how it is shared with the church. They also talked about the required egress codes in relation to the fire barrier walls in the buildings. Monday I had a Revit education hour, answering questions and learning new commands.

This week was very insightful  and the hour of Revit education was very helpful in improving my workflow. I found it very helpful sitting in on the meeting and was able to see how architects work with others on a project and how problems are managed.
