Reflection: I’ve now met my hours for the internship and my time associated with Clemson is complete. My studio project is also completed and a lot of weight is off my shoulders. My time at Cummings + McCrady was very enjoyable and I learned more than I could’ve expected in such a short window of time. I worked on numerous projects and produced a lot of work that I would definitely consider putting in my portfolio. I learned Revit and Enscape to a great degree in only 192 hours, which is more than I could’ve asked for. Ben was great as a mentor and really taught me a lot about practice within architecture. The few site visits we did were very beneficial as well. The parklet project is underway and John will be taking the work that I completed on it. I drew out the site and surrounding facades. We also went over precedents and sketched out initial schemes that worked well.
