Staying Organized.
This week has been an exercise in house keeping for the firm as most projects are waiting approvals or submittals.
I got to see first hand how projects are billed, by compiling and filing invoices on jobs dating back to 2018. Learning the organizational and business end of Architecture is one of my goals for this internship, so I spent several days this week and last on documentation, filing, organization, and a lot of recycling.
A Day in the Life of an Architect [Intern].
In addition to my deep dive into consultant invoices and project timelines, I also was able to give a tour of the cigar factory as part of the mentorship program Coast has initiated with a local high school. What an opportunity it is to mentor and serve younger students interested in architecture, by showing them Clemson’s Charleston Design Center and real world architecture in practice.
