Summary

This week was a big week for us. We are working on an organ case for a retirement home on James Island. We are completing the two largest components of the work which is the corner of the end wall and the outside tower. Our challenge is taking this large, massive, heavy piece and completing all the tasks that are required without moving it as much as possible. We are at 75% completion with the component standing in the photo. We are at 50% completion with the second wall. A lot goes into finishing these pieces before they can be sent to paint and our goal is to have these completed by next Wednesday. Next week, we are installing components in the chapel and our challenge there is working with tight constraints. This install will require everyone to help so while some people are delivering pieces, we still have to coordinate at the shop the other projects we have going on. The management of these projects are hard but it has taught me a lot about working with others and the contributions I can give while managing my own.
