This week I’ve decided to work during Spring Break due to the coronavirus. At the office, we got everyone connected to work from home to limit the spread of the virus. For the remainder of the semester, I will be working from BIM360 which is an online platform that makes working from home easier. I am also able to chat with everyone, from video calls to messaging apps, which will make communicating more effective. With longer hours in the office, I was able to experience a full day at work until we made the switch to go online. This was nice to experience as I was only able to work four hours due to classes. What I have learned this week was how to put together a reflected ceiling plan with little guidance, and I also learned how to properly layout two separate office spaces. By laying out the office area, I was also able to understand the client to architect relationship. I was given a program from the client, and I was asked to create a layout base on their wishes. On Mondy, we will meet with the client online to discuss their needs and which layout they will like to go with moving forward.
